Experiencing sound issues such as audio cutting out, excessive noise, or poor quality can be frustrating. Follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve these issues.
Note: Refer to your models Operating Manual for model specific information.
1. Check the Bluetooth Connection
- Ensure the device you are pairing with supports the necessary Bluetooth profile for high-quality audio.
- Confirm that your audio device and connected device are within the recommended range (typically 10 meters or 33 feet) with no physical obstructions like walls or other devices causing interference. Bring the earphones and the Bluetooth® device closer together.
- Reconnect your device if the sound cuts out frequently or the connection is unstable.
2. Adjust the Volume and settings
- Check and adjust the volume on both the Bluetooth device and the connected audio source.
- Avoid setting the volume to maximum, as it may lead to distortion or noise.
- Setting [Suppression of sound interruptions and delays] to [Suppress the interruption of
the sound] in the [Technics Audio Connect] app may resolve the problem.
3. Inspect the Earbuds or Headphones
- Are you covering the earphones or Bluetooth® device with your palm? The signals and audio
may be interrupted.
- Clean the earbuds or headphones to remove dirt or debris that might block sound output.
- Ensure the earbuds are seated properly in your ears for optimal sound delivery.
4. Ensure Proper Codec Support
- When using LDAC and multi-point together, change the “LDAC playback sound quality setting”
and “connection setting” of the playback device from “prioritize sound quality” to “best effort” or
“prioritize connectivity” to lower the bit rate. You may not be able to change the settings on
some playback devices. For details, please refer to the manual of the playback device
- Check if the correct codec is being used in the audio settings of the connected device.
5. Eliminate Potential Interference
- Minimize interference from other wireless devices such as Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, or other Bluetooth devices by moving away or turning them off if you are not using them.
- Disconnect other devices connected to Bluetooth if they might be causing signal interference.
- Depending on the signal conditions, radio waves in the same 2.4 GHz band as Bluetooth® may interfere and cause sound skipping
6. Update Firmware
- Update your audio device’s firmware to resolve any known issues and improve performance.
- Refer to the Firmware Updates page for detailed instructions.
7. Reset Your Device
- Resetting your audio device to factory settings can resolve connectivity or software-related issues.
- Refer to the Operating Manual for specific reset instructions.
8. Test with Another Device
- Connect the audio device to a different phone, tablet, or computer to determine whether the issue is with the audio device or the connected device.
9. Battery Levels
- Low battery levels can impact sound quality. Ensure the device is fully charged before use.
