Applicable Recording modes
When there is, for example, strong contrast between the
background and the subject, [
iHDR] records
multiple still pictures with differing exposures and combines
them to create a single still picture rich in gradation.
- [iHDR] works automatically as needed. When
activated, [HDR] will be displayed on the
screen.
Turning on iHDR
- Press [MENU] → [Intelligent Auto] /
[Intelligent Auto
Plus] → [iHDR] → [ON /
OFF]
- For models DMC-FZ300, DMC-G7, DMC-GF7,
DC-ZS70
- Press [MENU] → [Rec] →
[iHDR] → [ON] /
[OFF]
Notes
- The angle of view becomes narrow slightly
- After the shutter button has been pressed, do not move the
camera during the burst operation.
- Since a burst of still pictures are combined after they
have been recorded, it will be a few moments before you can
record another picture.
- In the case of composition from a burst, afterimages may
appear if the subject was moving.
- You cannot take the next picture until the combination of
pictures is complete.
- A moving subject may be recorded with unnatural blurs.
- iHDR is not available in the following cases:
- [iHandheld Night Shot] /
[iHDR] does not work for the pictures
taken during a motion picture recording.
- When recording 4K photos
- When recording with [Post Focus]
- When using [Burst] mode
- When recording using the [Bracket] /
[Auto Bracket] function
- When [Quality] is set to:
- [Raw / Jpeg]
- [Raw / High Quality

- [Raw]
- When using [Time Lapse Shot]
- When using [Stop Motion Animation]
(only when [Auto Shooting] is set)
- When recording using the flash
- For models DC-G9, DC-GH5
