How to use and what is "LDAC". - Technics Earphones
The unique design of the Technics acoustic chamber, harmonizer,
and 8mm drivers delivers exceptionally rich, expansive sound

that allows high resolution wireless audio for uncompromised
sound quality. Delivered in 96 kHz/24 bit LDAC when connected
by Bluetooth®.
The LDAC setting of this unit is disabled at the time of
purchase. Enable the setting to enjoy LDAC. The LDAC setting
can be changed with the “Technics Audio Connect” app (free of
charge).
Select the "Settings" menu.
Select "Connection mode
setting".
Follow the on-screen instructions to operate.
The audio codec settings on the playback device may also
need to be changed. Refer to the operating instructions of the
playback device for details.
When playing back music on a device on which you cannot
install the “Technics Audio Connect” app, change the LDAC
settings of this unit on another Bluetooth® device on which the
app has been installed.
Note:
This unit complies with the “High Resolution Audio”
standard of the Japan Audio Society
To enjoy wireless high-resolution quality (sound quality
certified by the High-Res Audio Wireless logo), use a playback
device with the High-Res Audio Wireless logo and set the
Bluetooth® sound quality setting to sound quality priority mode
/ LDAC 990 kbps.
In modes other than the above (connection priority mode,
etc.), playback may not be possible with high resolution
quality
Common LDAC operational and troubleshooting inquiries
Can LDAC be used with Multipoint?
No it can not be used with Multipoint.
LDAC Audio Bluetooth Codec does not work
In the Technics Audio App confirm the following is set.
Select the "Settings" menu.
Select "Connection mode
setting".
Select "Prioritize
Sound Quality".
Enable "LDAC for
headphones".
Note
When LDAC is enabled, multipoint connection will be
disabled as there is not enough wireless bandwidth to
support both functions at same time.
When using LDAC Audio there is interference, static,
skipping etc..
There may be interference from other 2.4 GHZ radio
frequency products (ex. Microwave). Troubleshoot with the
following steps.
Step 1
Move to a place where is no interference. If still
there is interference try step 2
Step 2
Change the bit rate setting of the playback device to auto
adjustment mode. How to change the setting depends on each
device.
In case the device is DAP
Switch the sound quality setting from “Priority on
sound quality” to “Priority on stable connection”.
In case the device is Android smartphone.
Go to the setting of developer option to change the
LDAC codec sound quality by reducing the bit rate. Refer to
the operating instructions of the device. Some devices may
not be able to change the setting.
Step 3
Disable the LDAC function as follows.
Open the Technics Audio Connect App.
Switch the "LDAC for headphones" setting to "Off" or
"Prioritize connectivity" to "Off".
Note: If the settings of the earphones did not change even
though the "Prioritize connectivity" was changed to
OFF,switch the Bluetooth settings of your device OFF and
ON.
