How to setup the HomeHawk motion detection notifications and recordings when motion is detected. - KX-HNC850, KX-HNC855 Floor Light Camera.

Setting the notifications and recording "Mode" allows the floor light camera to operate according to pre-determined settings when motion is detected.

To access the Notification (Mode) settings

Tap the "Mode" icon on the HomeHawk™ app main page above the floor camera that you want to configure the notifications and recordings.

There are 3 preset modes that can be used for cameras: [Basic], [Home], and [Away].

[Basic]: Select this mode when you don't want to activate any of the motion detection functions when the camera senses motion. Select Basic mode when you want to turn the system Off.

[Home]: This mode is typically used when you are at home. Use this in the following situations.

You want the camera to:
- Turn on the privacy mode when you arrive home.
- Turn on the light when you arrive home.
You don’t want the camera to:
- Record images or make sounds when motion is detected.
- Send notifications to you when motion is detected.

[Away]: This mode is typically used when you are away from home. Use this in the following situations.

You want the camera to:
- Record images or make sounds when motion is detected.
- Send notifications to you when motion is detected.
- Turn off the light when you leave home.
- Turn off the privacy mode when you leave home.

In the Mode settings you can.

Edit a Preset Mode. (Basic Mode can not be edited)
1. Change the Mode name.
2. Select the light settings.
3. Select the privacy mode.
4. Choose what the camera should do when motion is detected.
  - Recording
  - Push Notification
  - Camera sound
Create a New Mode

How to edit a Preset Mode

Tap [ Edit ].
Tap the edit icon next to the mode you would like to edit.
Change the Settings as required.
When all settings are selected, tap [ DONE ] to save.

Setting Options

Change the Mode Name. - Tape the Name, then use the phone's keypad to change the name.
Lighting - Decide if the light should turn on when the mode is activated and at what brightness.
1. Tap [ OFF ] then select [ ON ], tap [ Done ] to exit.
2. Tap the setting level next to "Brightness", then select the brightness level (High, Medium, Low) tap [ Done ] to exit.
Change the Privacy Setting. - When Privacy mode is activated you cannot see the video or hear the audio.
1. Tap the setting next to "Privacy Mode"
2. Then select the desired privacy mode (Activate, Deactivate, Keep its state).
3. Tap [ Done ] to exit.
Recording Time - Select the length of time to record when motion is detected or turn the recording option ON/OFF.
Note: If motion is continued more than the recording set time, the recording will continue until motion is not detected anymore. .
1. To set the camera to record, confirm that [ Start Recording ] is set to on, (icon is blue),
2. Tap the time setting next to "Duration"
3. Then select the desired recording time.
4. Tap [ Done ] to exit.
Send Notification - Tap the "Send Notification" ON/OFF icon to set whether you want notification to be received on your cell phone when motion is detected.
Play Sound - Select a sound to play when motion is detected.
1. Tap the setting next to "Play Sound"
2. Then select the desired sound setting.
3. Tap [ Done ] to exit.

How to Create a New Mode

Tap [ CREATE ] (when in the "Mode Select" screen).
Name the mode and select the desired settings as shown in the "How to edit a Preset Mode" instructions above.
